In this article, Wolfgang Bednarzek discusses collaborative artistic work and the increasingimportance of network technologies for all manifestations of human creativity. This was the key theme at Language of Networks, a two-day symposium held in association with the 2004 Ars Electronica Festival, the world's best known media arts festival (held every yearin Linz, Austria since 1979). Bednarzek?s observations highlight not only the benefits of collaborationin human networks, but also the possibilities for network analysis in research and creative multimedia.
