A growing number of mid-size and small businesses are starting to look into voice over IP for their communications needs. But many companies are also discovering that the advantages of VoIP are not strictly limited to avoiding long-distance toll costs. The author looks at how VoIP has evolved over the years and how vendors are enjoying more and more demand for the service. The article also offers some key questions to consider when making the switch to VoIP telephony.
