<p>Assisting the users with a variety of interests during site navigation and making them aware of the information architecture can increase a Web site's usability. It is important that a visitor is able to achieve the Web site's commercial objective. Today's Web sites are not always intelligent enough to assist a user in achieving this objective. This article models the user's interest based on the past users' navigation pattern and the individual user's within-session page request pattern. On the basis of these models, the authors propose an algorithm that generates a set of most relevant links (index) to be displayed on each requested page.</p>
