IEEE Design & Test of Computers magazine is seeking articles for a November/December 2007 special issue on the design and test of integrated circuits for secure embedded computing. The special issue will review the field of secure integrated circuit design techniques and highlight recent innovations in methods and tools for secure integrated circuit design.
Possible topics include operating system-, architecture-, microarchitecture-, and circuit-level support for trust and security, runtime IP protection of software and hardware, and methods to integrate security and trust in traditional embedded architectures.
Submissions are due by 1 May 2007. To view the complete call for papers, visit www.computer.org/portal/pages/design/content/1107cfp.html
The Call and Calendar section lists conferences, symposia, and workshops that the IEEE Computer Society sponsors or cooperates in presenting.

The annual International Conference on Semantics, Knowledge, and Grid is a cross-area forum on semantic computing, knowledge networking, and grid computing. SKG promotes cross-area research and pushes the development of relevant areas. SKG 2007 will take place in Xi'an, China, from 29–31 October.
Jim Hendler, editor-in-chief of IEEE Intelligent Systems, will give the keynote address.
Organizers have solicited papers on a broad variety of topics that include semantic-based interfaces, automatic semantic annotation, resource management models in grid environments, and Internet-based multiagent systems.
Visit www.culturegrid.net/SKG2007 for more conference information, including a complete call for papers. Paper submissions are due by 20 May.
