While we leverage containers for portability, moving containers from one cloud platform to another is still a difficult process. This column puts forth the concept that containers should be able to "live migrate" from one public cloud brand to another, and do so in automated and autonomous ways. Covered are the reasons behind this approach, and a description of the mechanisms and methods to employ.
