Call for papers: ECCV 2012

ECCV 2012 solicits the submission of high quality previously unpublished research papers on any aspect of computer vision. Contributions from related disciplines (such as machine learning, computer graphics, biological vision, mathematics) which illuminate the state-of-the-art in computer vision are also of interest, together with papers on longer term research challenges which point to new research directions or brave perspectives that might pave the way to innovation.

Accepted papers will be presented in the oral and poster sessions of the ECCV 2012 technical program. Continuing the top quality tradition of ECCVs, it will be a single-track conference with double-blind peer review process.
March 5th, 2012 – Paper submission deadline?
June 25th, 2012 – Notification of acceptance?
August 1st, 2012 – Camera-ready submission deadline


Call for Papers: Computer Vision and Image Understanding: Special Issue in Celebration of Professor J.K. Aggarwal

Prof. J.K. (Jake) Aggarwal, a Cullen Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Director of the Computer and Vision Research Center at University of Texas, Austin, TX is world renowned for his many pioneering contributions to computer vision. In particular, Jake is one of the founders of the fundamental and classical area of computer vision namely, structure from motion. Jake has also made original and significant contributions to several other areas of computer vision including but not limited to, analysis and understanding of range images, analysis of articulated motion, human activity modeling and recognition and automatic target recognition using multi-modal sensors. This special issue is brought to you in recognition and honor of the multi-faceted contributions of Jake to computer vision.

ACM International Conference on Multimedia Retrieval (ICMR) 2012
June 5-8, 2012, Hong Kong

ICMR 2012 is seeking original high quality submissions addressing
innovative research in the broad field of multimedia retrieval.
Contributions addressing the challenges of large-scale search and user
behavior analysis are especially welcome.
