IEEE Winter Vision Meetings are collection of workshops, including the
Workshop on Applications of Computer Vision (WACV), plus other
workshops that vary from year to year. The average attendance over the
past three years has been over 150 participants. All of the meetings are
covered by a single "passport-style" registration and the logistics of
organization are simplified as all workshops are held under one
IEEE Winter Vision Meeting 2013 will be in Tampa, Florida in the Jan
2013. The exact dates are to be determined. We are soliciting
proposals for additional workshops. Please contact Sudeep Sarkar
(firstname.lastname@example.org) and Michael Brown (email@example.com), the
WVM 2013 General Chairs, by Feb 15 2012, if you are interested in
organizing one. Formal proposals are not needed at this stage, just
expression of intent.
IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis & Machine Intelligence Seeks
Editor in Chief for 2013-2014 Terms
The IEEE Computer Society seeks applicants for the position of editor
in chief, serving two-year terms starting 1 January 2013. Prospective
candidates are asked to provide (as PDF files), by 1 March 2012, a
complete curriculum vitae, a brief plan for the publication?s future,
and a letter of support from their institution or employer.

Proposals for Workshops to be held in conjunction with ECCV 2012 are solicited that address clearly focused topics in all areas of Computer Vision.They should explore new, emergent research directions in computer vision, spotlight cross-disciplinary links with related fields and/or application areas, or review an established area, assessing the current state of the art, main challenges, and the road ahead. he Workshop proceedings will be published together with the proceedings of the main conference. Prospective workshop organizers are encouraged to contact the workshop chairs before the deadline to share ideas and clarify any doubts.
Submission deadline: February 15th, 2012?
Notification of acceptance: March 29th, 2012
?Workshop dates: October 12-13th, 2012

Call for Papers: The 12th European Conference on Computer Vision
ECCV 2012 solicits the submission of high quality previously unpublished research papers on any aspect of computer vision. Contributions from related disciplines (such as machine learning, computer graphics, biological vision, mathematics) which illuminate the state-of-the-art in computer vision are also of interest, together with papers on longer term research challenges which point to new research directions or brave perspectives that might pave the way to innovation.
Accepted papers will be presented in the oral and poster sessions of the ECCV 2012 technical program. Continuing the top quality tradition of ECCVs, it will be a single-track conference with double-blind peer review process.
March 5th, 2012 – Paper submission deadline?
June 25th, 2012 – Notification of acceptance
?August 1st, 2012 – Camera-ready submission deadline
