New Support Center Webpage Promises Better Service

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif., 3 August, 2011 – Visitors to the IEEE Computer Society home page will find that clicking on Help on the header will bring them to the new IEEE Support Center site featuring a suite of enhanced services.
 
In addition, visitors to the IEEE home page will find that the "Contact" utility link on the header has been changed to "Contact and Support," linking visitors to the same IEEE Support Center.
 
These new services will allow members, customers, employees, and guests to manage their relationship with IEEE through a new level of self-service customer support. For example, they will be able to:
  • Access a knowledge base of IEEE and Computer Society products, services, and processes
  • Generate a search for their querySubmit a question by topic
  • Conduct a live online chat with a dedicated Contact Center representative.
In addition, customers can interact with IEEE and the Computer Society in their native languages through a Google-based language translation tool. And because of the consistency of answers to common questions, issues are more likely to be resolved on the first contact, eliminating the frustration of back-and forth calls and emails.

"The Computer Society is now positioned to begin offering better, more efficient, and intelligent support services to members, customers, and volunteers when and how they need it: in their time, in their language, focused on their needs."
