Two More Transactions Move to New Publishing Model

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif., 7 March, 2011—Two more transactions have committed to transitioning to the OnlinePlus publication model starting with 2012 issue.

The IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, which is celebrating its 10th year anniversary this year, and the IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems are the next set of titles to adopt the OnlinePlus publication model beginning with 2012 issues. TMC, a monthly journal, publishes mature works of research that focuses on the key technical issues related to mobile computing. TPDS, publishing monthly, distributes a range of papers that deal with the parallel and distributed systems research areas of current importance to our readers.

The OnlinePlus publication model is a hybrid of online only and print. Subscribers of both TMC and TPDS will receive full archival online access plus four quarterly abstract books. In addition, they will receive interactive disks that contain the complete contents of every issue, including supplemental material, all for a lower price than traditional print.

Subscribers of TVCG, TDSC, and TPAMI saved between 17 and 35 percent when the journals transitioned to the OnlinePlus publication model with 2011 issues. To learn more about OnlinePlus, please visit http://www.computer.org/onlineplus.
