Apply for Sponsorship
Are you planning to host a conference, workshop, or symposium to bring together top researchers, academics, and industry members in your technical specialty? Consider an IEEE Computer Society sponsorship or co-sponsorship to give your event the credibility of the world's leading organization for computing professionals.
When the IEEE Computer Society is the full financial sponsor, it accepts all financial and legal liability and owns all assets. General and finance chairs: please complete the application one year ahead of the meeting to allow time to obtain Technical Committee approvals and endorsements, negotiate and approve contracts, and allow time for promotion.
For renewing conferences in good standing, organizers can take advantage of the new Two-Part Approval Process. For new conferences, the first step in requesting financial sponsorship is seeking endorsement from the Technical Committee in your subject area.
Financial Co-sponsorship is where the IEEE Computer Society shares in the financial and legal liabilities and assets with another nonprofit organization or IEEE Society as outlined in an MOU or steering committee charter. The IEEE Computer Society share shall be at least 50 percent for new meetings. Advance loans and surpluses or losses are shared in proportion to the commitment. For new conferences, the first step in requesting financial sponsorship is seeking endorsement from the Technical Committee in your subject area. To get started, contact your Meeting Planner or email email@example.com.
Technical co-sponsorship is where IEEE Computer Society volunteers and members actively participate in the meeting's technical program committee but the Computer Society accepts no financial or legal liability for the meeting. You can use the IEEE and IEEE Computer Society logos for your conference and the conference will be listed in the IEEE Computer Society conference calendar, but may not use IEEE in the conference name. In addition, the dates of the conference must not overlap IEEE conferences in the same subject area. You will also need a Statement of Benefits from the appropriate Technical Committee or Council. To get started, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
NOTE: All forms of sponsorship require endorsement through one or more of the Computer Society Technical Committees (TCs), which are representative of pertinent technical topic areas. TC endorsement must be obtained before applying for sponsorship.

Once we receive this from you, the following are the next steps.
Technical Co-Sponsorship Next Steps:
1. Application Processing Fee
There is a non-refundable TCS application processing fee of $350. If you would like to pay by credit card, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Please make sure to include the acronym and year of the conference in your message. Please note this fee is waived if the conference uses CPS (www.computer.org/web/cs-cps/).
2. Statement of Benefits
An IEEE CS Technical Committee or Technical Council (TC) or Special Technical Community (STC) Chair must provide their written endorsement in the form of a Statement of Benefits letter, to justify review for Technical Co-Sponsorship. The TC/STC and TC/STC Chair must also be listed on the application. A list of the TC Chairs is located at www.computer.org/web/tandc/technical-committees
Note the TC/STC will not receive financial benefits or added entitlements from a conference that is granted Technical Co-Sponsorship. The TC (or STC) chair must email his/her completed Statement of Benefits letter directly to email@example.com. We have a sample Statement of Benefits letter attached here. We recommend the letter be created in MS Word or PDF format, make sure it is signed by the TC (or STC) Chair and dated, and forward it to us as an email attachment.
3. Computer Society Review
Please understand that until all requirements are received by the Computer Society (approved TCS application / Processing Fee), the application will remain pending. We will notify you once we have received a decision on your completed application from CS Conference Advisory Committee (CAC). We will expedite this review as much as possible.
Note: There is an additional $500 fee if you DO NOT wish to have your papers included in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
