David A. Bader

Biography. David A. Bader (Fellow, 2010) is a Full Professor in the School of Computational Science and Engineering, College of Computing, at Georgia Institute of Technology, and Executive Director for High Performance Computing. Bader received his PhD in electrical and computer engineering from University of Maryland in 1996. Bader served IEEE-CS as the Awards Chair (2012), TOC Chair (2013), and Fellows Selection Vice Chair (2011), on committees such as Fellow selection (2010-2013), and as IEEE Division V representative for TAB Awards and Recognition (2011). Bader is on the CRA Board, incoming EIC of IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems (2014), associate EIC of the Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing, and AE for IEEE Transactions on Computers, ACM Transactions on Parallel Computing, and ACM Journal of Experimental Algorithmics. Bader is on the Steering Committees of the IPDPS and HiPC conferences, Program Chair for IPDPS 2014, and IPDPS 2010 General Chair. He was twice elected as chair of the IEEE-CS TC on Parallel Processing. Bader is recognized by his peers for his commitment to service, leadership skills, and dedication, through awards such as the IEEE Meritorious Service (2010), the IEEE-CS Golden Core (2011), and the IEEE-CS TCPP Outstanding Service (2013) awards.
