Dr. Ivan Stojmenovic Announced as New Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems

Dr. Ivan Stojmenovic is a full professor in the School of Information Technology and Engineering at the University of Ottawa, Canada. He received his BS, MS, and PhD degrees all in mathematics from the University of Novi Sad, Serbia, and the University of Zagreb, Croatia. He is currently an editor for a dozen journals and founder and editor-in-chief of three more. He has published more than 250 different papers and edited four books on wireless ad hoc and sensor networks and applied algorithms with Wiley. He has coauthored 10 articles in TPDS, and two of these are ranked third and eighth in citations among all TPDS articles (Scopus). He is in the top 0.56% most cited authors in the field of computer science (Citeseer, 2006). One of his articles was recognized as the Fast Breaking Paper for October 2003 (the only one for all of computer science) by ISI. He is a recipient of the Royal Society Research Merit Award, United Kingdom. He chaired and/or organized more than 50 workshops and conferences. He is an IEEE Fellow (Communications Society, class 2008).
