• #1 in electrical engineering and artificial intelligence
• Top 10 in computer science
• Overall top-ranked IEEE and Computer Society journal

It has maintained its position as the Computer Society's most-often-cited journal, achieving a 2008 impact factor of 5.96, compared with 3.579 in 2007.
