The Technical Committee on the Internet (TCI) promotes internetworking technologies, such as the World Wide Web, from a software perspective. Goals of the TFIW are to sponsor high-quality workshops and conferences, provide timely information to CS members via Web pages (electronic bulletin) and influence and promote internetworking standards. Internetworking is exceptionally important commercially and as a research vehicle.
