IEEE-CS Introduces myComputer, New Personalized Information Source to Keep Up with Cutting-Edge Technology
LOS ALAMITOS, Calif., 1 August 2013 – IEEE Computer Society, the community for technology leaders, has developed a new personalized information tool that provides technology readers with the ability to customize their experience and easily stay up to date on specific technology interests.
myComputer provides content choices. Users can select three subject areas from among 30 of today's hottest technology topics, including security and privacy, big data, cloud computing, Internet of Things, mobile, high-performance computing, application development, cybercrime, and more.
Each month, IEEE Computer Society will search through its database of 13 leading-edge magazines and 200 conferences to deliver to users' inboxes the top peer-reviewed articles and papers in the three chosen subject areas. A list of top articles in the subject areas will be sent to users' inboxes for selection.
myComputer lets users download 24 articles or papers per year, with an option to purchase up to a dozen additional articles. Each month, users will also receive the digital edition of Computer, IEEE Computer Society's highly ranked flagship magazine.
"IEEE Computer Society recognizes that technology professionals have specialized interests, and limited time, and they want more control over what they choose to read," said Evan Butterfield, IEEE Computer Society Director of Products and Services. "They've been telling us what they want, and we listened. myComputer represents a major advance in digital publishing and personalization from an organization with a worldwide reputation for producing high-quality content to serve the computing community."
For a limited time, myComputer will be available at the introductory price of $59 for nonmembers or $39 for IEEE Computer Society members (taxes may apply). Corporate pricing is also available. To find out more, visit computer.org/myComputer.
