Computer Society Extends SD West Discount to Members
LOS ALAMITOS, Calif., 3 February, 2008 -- The IEEE Computer Society is offering members and customers a discount to attend SD West 2008, where visitors can stop by the Society’s booth to meet editors, sign up for magazines, and compete for prizes.
The largest independent conference for software developers, being held 3-7 March in Santa Clara, Calif., features more than 50 exhibitors, as well as 200 classes, tutorials, roundtables, and panels in 13 subject areas.
At Booth 418, the IEEE Computer Society will showcase IEEE Software and IEEE Security & Privacy, two of the membership organization’s 14 technical magazines. Visitors will receive a free t-shirt by signing up for one magazine subscription, or a fleece vest for signing up for two subscriptions. At SD West, the Computer Society is participating in the Passport to SD West program, offering a prize pack containing a Software backpack, a $100 Best Buy gift card, an IEEE Computer Society fleece vest, and a one-year subscription to both Software and Security &Privacy magazines.
The Society is exhibiting at SD West as part of a three-year pilot project. The Society this year will also exhibit at the RSA Conference 7-11 April and at LinuxWorld 5-7 August. Both will be held at San Francisco’s Moscone Center.
