The TC on Operating Systems Applications and Environments (TCOS) is involved with theoretical and practical aspects of operating system design, including system organization, resource allocation policies, measurement, performance evaluation, and system reliability. It is also involved with all operating system aspects affecting system interface specifications, the completeness of services, and portability of applications. The TC publishes a newsletter four times a year.
