Software-Visualization Tool Enables Large-Scale Modeling

Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) scientists have created a software tool that lets users perform in-depth analysis of modeling and simulation data and, then, almost instantly view visualizations of the results. They say their software lets engineers manipulate data in multiple ways, is easier to use than existing tools, and can be utilized across numerous disciplines, such as in healthcare-related data-mining applications. The GTRI researchers demonstrated the software—which is part of their multicomponent Test Matrix Tool—recently using baseball statistics. They designed the larger system—which runs on Linux or Windows—to help engineers with simulation testing. (Science Daily)(Georgia Tech)
