Corning Demonstrates New Flexible Glass-Display Material

Corning announced its new Willow Glass flexible-display technology on Monday. The 100-micron-thick display is made using a roll-to-roll manufacturing process. It is so flexible, it can be rolled into two-inch-radius tubes. It is also scratch-resistant and works with touch sensors. Corning expects Willow Glass to be used in flexible solar cells and lighting. The company showed the glass at the Society for Information Display’s recent Display Week event.
