Arizona State Researchers Claim Making Largest Flexible Color OLED

Arizona State University’s Flexible Display Center has created the world’s largest flexible color organic light-emitting diode prototype. The researchers used advanced mixed-oxide thin-film transistors (TFTs) to make the 7.4-inch display. Companies could manufacture mixed-oxide TFTs using existing amorphous silicon production lines, which means that they are less expensive to make than other types of flexible displays. The researchers showed their display this month during the 2012 Society for Information Display’s Display Week in Boston. (PhysOrg)(Arizona State University)
