[Conference News] Agile Lessons Learned in the Video Editing Market

Adobe Premiere Pro is a nonlinear video editor that competes in broadcast, film, and video editing markets. In 2008, Adobe management decided to move to an agile development approach for Premier Pro’s CS5 release. The results showed significant improvements in the product’s market share and quality as well as the development team members’ work-life balance.

Peter Green, the agile adoption leader and scrum trainer for that effort, describes lessons learned in a paper presented at the 2012 Agile Conference (Agile 2012).

"Adobe Premiere Pro Scrum Adoption: How an Agile Approach Enabled Success in a Hypercompetitive Landscape" and other Agile 2012 papers are available free to IEEE Computer Society members and CS Digital Library subscribers.
