When will I receive my ballot?

IEEE Computer Society Annual Election ballots will be mailed to all eligible voting members beginning 10 August 2009 via first class mail. All eligible voting members will also have electronic access to ballot materials.

How do I access my ballot electronically?

Eligible voting members may access his/her ballot electronically at https://www.directvote.net/ieeecs. To authenticate access, please have your IEEE member number and the election vendor assigned eSignature (passcode) readily available located on the paper ballot or in. You can either type in the eSignature passcode or cut and paste the passcode.

What is the deadline for ballot receipt?

All ballots for the 2009 IEEE Computer Society Annual Election must be received by the election vendor by 5 October 2009 at 12:00 noon Eastern Time USA (18:00 GMT) to be counted. Ballot materials can also be accessed electronically at https://www.directvote.net/ieeecs.

I have already mailed in my ballot. Am I supposed to return it electronically?

If you have mailed in your paper ballot and it was received by the election vendor, DO NOT VOTE electronically.

I have already voted online. Should I mail in my paper ballot as well?

NO. If you have voted electronically DO NOT return your paper ballot.

I have not received my ballot package in the mail yet. How do I request one?

All eligible voting members on record on 30 June 2009 were mailed an election ballot material package. If you have not received yours, call +1 202 371 0101 for a replacement ballot.

How long before my voting session times out?

The session will end after 30 minutes of inactivity (i.e. not pressing any button in the application).
