ABSTRACT
Software project managers make decisions about many things, including resources, tools and techniques, often aiming to identify good or best practices. But these decisions should be based on solid evidence, not on common wisdom or vendor hype. The author examines the various types of evidence, showing how to build arguments from them and strengthen the arguments to support more effective decision making.
