Seventh Working IEEE/IFIP Conference on Software Architecture (WICSA 2008)
Towards Software Architecture Physiology: Identifying Vital Components
February 18-February 21
ISBN: 978-0-7695-3092-5
Several architecture analysis methods areproposed in the literature for evaluating both thestructure and the behavior of architectures. A parallelbetween humans and software systems leads to someinteresting consideration on kinds of analysis that canbe performed on a system architecture, such as theidentification of vital element. Such identificationimproves the system architecture understanding andallows us to estimate to what extent, a change on somecomponents could impact the rest of the architecture.
Index Terms:
