In order to share and reuse the insect knowledge the infrastructure of Semantic Grid is needed and Ontology provides the basis of management of semantics for Semantic Grid. Therefore the ontology for insect morphology and taxonomy (IMTO) is developed. IMTO includes Insect Order sub-ontology and Family sub-ontology. Prot?g? 3.1 is used for ontology development of concepts and relationships that represent insect morphology and taxonomy.
