Abstract: Business-to-business transactions requires interactions between diverse applications and businesses. This gives rise to the need to for a common standard and protocol for exchanging business messages. Several consortiums and companies have developed frameworks that aim at achieving interoperability between businesses, so as to ease the entire process to B2B e-commerce. Among the well noted is RosettaNet. RosettaNet develops XML based business standards for supply chain partners in the hi-technology industry. These standards address the issue of interoperability by defining business processes and providing technical specifications for exchanging data. This paper describes a software solution for application integration by implementing the RosettaNet standards. The prototype application developed is a platform independent B2B integration software solution based on the specifications.
