CSIE (Distributed Control System Configuration Software Integrated Environment) system is a platform for developing control schemes in distributed control system (DCS). With CSIE system, Engineers of DCS can configure the control schemes in kinds of configuration languages and define reusable scheme components in any scheme of the same project. CSIE system implements the five configuration languages defined in the IEC 1131-3 standard. This paper describes one of these five configuration languages, SFC, and its editing, compiling and debugging strategies in detail.The development of CSIE system bases on object-oriented technology fully and successfully. This embodies in two aspects: construct object models in the architecture of CSIE system; organize the key algorithms in object-oriented method. Benefiting from object-oriented technology, CSIE system has the features of extensibility, adaptability, and reusability.
