Domain-specific application frameworks have received considerable attention from researchers and developers and will become one of the future trends in object-oriented framework research area. In this paper, based on the deep understanding and analysis of OO framework techniques, we study the existing problems in oil and gas exploration applications, and propose a specific framework for interactive seismic data processing application software. Meanwhile, a set of design-pattern-oriented components are introduced so that the software extensibility and code reusability can be considerably enhanced.
