Object Addressing is an important aspect with heavy influence on system performance of object-oriented database. After discussing variant factors relevant to object addressing, we present the object addressing technology used in DBC++. We propose an adaptive pointer swizzling method that can be used to support the manipulation of consistency and featured by independence and high efficiency.
