In this talk we review recent research in the area of spatiotemporal databases. Spatiotemporal database management offers a wide range of interesting research problems and can have a significant effect on applications. Our presentation will highlight results achieved in the context of project CHOROCHRONOS. The constraint database model will be our main technical tool for the representation of spatiotemporal information.
