In this paper, by using the fixed point index method, we establish the existence of at least one or at least two positive solutions to m-point boundary value problem for the second order differential equation with an advanced argument { u^" (t) + a(t)f(u(h(t))) = 0, t \in (0,1), u(0) = 0, \sum\limits_{i = 1}^{m - 2} {k_i u(\xi _i ) = u(1),} where 0 = \xi_0 \le \xi_1 \le \cdot \cdot \cdot \le \xi_{m-2} \le \xi_{m-1} = 1.
