The modular design-based reconfigurable embedded numerical control system is composed of a series of embedded control modules, which are designed according to universal not special object or condition. However, choosing some appropriate modules can construct a special numerical control system. The framework of the modular design-based reconfigurable embedded numerical control system is presented in the paper. Detailed information about functional modules is also given. The key points in design are resource sharing, scheduling and data traffic. Also, the realizing technologies of embedded real-time operating system customization, embedded web server, communication between modules and resource scheduling are discussed. The system has high extensibility, reliability, applicability and reconfiguration. It also has high arithmetic capability and low cost.
