Computing grids offer a very effective economic and scalable way to build high performance infrastructure. In this paper, we propose a grid-based face recognition approach using general template matching method to solve time-consuming face recognition problem. This approach is computationally efficient, has high recognition rates, and is able to handle large database problem by adopting grid computing.
