Keane is one of the world?s leading providers of business and IT services. Several Keane outsourcing engagements inherited applications that play an important role in sustaining vital business transactions for high caliber clients. However, the majority of these applications were in the form of legacy systems that were based on archaic designs. This experience report summarizes several projects that were undertaken by one Keane engagement, in Southfield, Michigan, which targeted the conversion of multiple monolithic components into a Web Service based architecture that strives to comply with the latest SOA standards.
