Shanghai Transportation Information Service Application Grid (STISAG), an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), is used to deal with the serious traffic jam in the city. It?s based on Service- Oriented Architecture (SOA), Grid and Web Service technology. The system design and some key technical problems are discussed in this paper. The content in this paper not only gives a case study for SOA, but also provides a new and effective solution for ITS.
