To enable event-driven use of composite services (i.e., scenarios) deployed in the service delivery platform (SDP), which has been developed to promote service creation in the next generation network (NGN), we propose an event routing gateway (ERG). This has a virtualized endpoint that receives a notification from a requester and forwards it to an appropriate scenario. We studied this gateway focusing on practical requirements (i.e., cost and scalability) from the viewpoint of enterprise use with scalable applicability to telecommunications and evaluated its fundamental feasibility and capacity.
