Many modern handheld devices are able to take and store media contents, but are usually equipped with small panels and poor player utilities. To achieve high quality playing performance, users often need to transfer media contents to external powerful devices with a series of cumbersome operations of connection setup and content transfer. In this paper, we present a mobile content sharing mechanism based on UPnP framework and wireless technology. As a result, users could conveniently share media contents stored in mobile devices and play them by other home networked devices. The demonstration result shows that the developed mechanism is practicable and easy to use.
