Building Secure Web-Based Environments: Understanding Research Interrelationships through a Construction Metaphor

To build a Web-based community it's necessary to create a structure—an edifice—in which this community can live and function. The construction of a physical structure (a house or office complex, for example) is a useful metaphor for the different subareas of research necessary for building secure Web-based environments.
