Dynamically typed languages are in vogue. And for good reason. But, what about your C/C++ systems? Can you combine the advantages of statically typed software with the flexibility of dynamically typed systems? Lua was all this and more for the authors and helped them become more productive in the process. This article is part of a special issue on dynamically typed languages.
