Wireless transmission of uncompressed lossless HD video provides higher image quality with lower latency and cost than compressed-content transmission. However, it requires data rates of about 4 Gbps for 1080p resolution, exceeding the capabilities of existing wireless technologies. Using the 60-GHz band as detailed by the Wireless HD specification, SiBEAM's chipset makes such data rates economically achievable. 1. J.M.
