In a global economy fueled by advances in telecommunications and information technologies, offshore outsourcing is evolving from conventional international-trade practices. Today, companies are looking at all their business activities with an eye toward retaining some in-house and outsourcing others. A recent survey conducted by the author of senior IT managers provides insight into both the pros and cons of offshore outsourcing.
