The US government's Scholarship For Service program provides eligible students with scholarships to finish their education, paid internships, and jobs working in information assurance with government agencies. The National Science Foundation provides grants for student scholarships to qualifying universities. This program benefits students, who receive financial support, an excellent education, resources for conducting their research, and a network of students and faculty to collaborate with. It also helps the government address the diminishing number of information assurance professionals it employs and easily find the most skilled applicants for a position.
