Nowadays a lot of data could be stored and handled in the mobile phone. One source for this data is sensors and measurement devices attached to the user or near him. One emerging application domain is "well-being", and user?s mobile phone being the original and possibly the only data storage for that kind of personal content. For retrieving and organizing it, a suitable SW architecture and data model is needed to make application creation, data integration and interoperability easier and to facilitate extendability. The presented SW framework provides support for mobile applications in the wellness domain to utilize external devices and to manage (possibly real-time) data. It has also extension mechanisms to create derived, calculated data and to extend framework?s data model with application specific concepts and properties. We also highlight some details of the implementation, as well as the applications built on top of it. Besides SW, the implementation extends current physical interfaces in phones with a USB hub/host, and thus enables communication between many wellness - and other type of - devices and the mobile device.
