In this paper, we propose a TDMA slot assignment protocol to realize the high channel utilization in an ad hoc sensor network where nodes have different communication ranges. Our protocol prevents inconsistency of the slot assignment information by considering the directions of wireless links with the neighbors when each node assigns a slot to itself. Furthermore, we verify the effectiveness of our protocol by simulation experiments. The results show that our protocol utilizes the channel bandwidth effectively even when nodes have different communication ranges.
