In this paper, we proposed a framework of multimedia retrieval system base on the MPEG-7 standard as information schema. It provides a content-based retrieval method which uses MPEG-7 Metadata Schema. Our framework is aim at the high-level semantic retrieval, which composed of three module and fully rely on the MPEG-7 standard. This framework provides a rich set of automatic feature extraction components and an independent retrieval interface.
