A mobile Digital Rights Management platform is proposed that follows the DRM reference architecture while including several important functions lacking in the OMA DRM. The platform provides strong protection methods utilizing encryption and digital watermarking, and supports content superdistribution with peer-to-peer networking and Bluetooth. Licenses for defining content usage rights are acquired from license servers with a license negotiation subsystem of the client. The DRM Player software has been implemented into a smart phone and tested with many applications.
