The supplier selection with uncertain interval information is modeled as a multiple criteria decision making problem in this study. After transforming the interval decision matrix into a definite one, by which the entropy of the criteria would be the maximal, a linear programming model is set up to determine the criterion weights by maximizing the overall value of all alternatives. Based on the criterion weights obtained, the overall values of every alternative can be figured out. In the end, the rankings of the alternatives would be obtained according to the overall values of the alternatives. Selection of the air-conditioning system is presented as an illustrative example.
