Texture mapping and large-scale orthophoto mosaic are important in city 3D-model reconstruction. For some factors such as illumination direction and imaging time, in the course of obtaining images, there is often an obvious holistic color shift for imaging processing in the natural light, especially for remote sensing images and aerial images. The color of the overlapped areas in the two adjoined images is not consistent, so the image color matching is necessary. Combined with the characteristic of the light transmission, the image color matching based on two color space is compared and analyzed, which are RGB color space and HSI color space. Furthermore, the matching method based on histogram specification is discussed. Then it is proved that the effect of using RGB color space is better than that of using HSI color space by the result of the experiments.
