ePerSpace project intends to demonstrate the achievements of its R&D activities, including both the technical evaluation of the platform and the user acceptance assessment of the services delivered.

In order to achieve this goal, two trial phases were planned: the first one, February-April 2005 (trial 1), which consisted of 5 separate sub-trials, and the final trials in the last months of the project (trial 2), that will compile all the project achievements in two global trials; one fixed, based on the test-bed of Telefonica in Madrid and one "portable", so that it can be moved to show ePerSpace results at related events and fairs.

This manuscript summarizes purposes, achievements and evaluation results of services provided at each one of the 5 intermediate sub-trials, called respectively:

  • Home and Personal Devices
  • Home Platform
  • Rich Media Object Management
  • Global Interoperability Network
  • UMTS Global Interoperability Network
