A Simple and Fast Wavelength Reservation Protocol for Dynamic Traffic in Large Scale Wavelength-routed Networks

A simple and fast distributed wavelength reservation protocol for dynamic traffic in large scale wavelength-routed networks, named Destination Reservation Protocol, is proposed in this paper. Simulation results reveal that the connection setup delay is shortened and the messages needed to be processed are reduced.
